How to Pray
According to Luke 11:1, the disciples came to Jesus with a request, “Teach us to pray…” And Jesus said, “This is how you should pray…” (Luke 11:2a NLT)
Join us to learn how to pray as we study the Lord's Prayer and apply the Lord's example in our lives...
Big Words
When was the last time you used propitiation, justification, or sanctification in an everyday, casual conversation? Yet, those words are a part of the language of our faith.
Our "Big Words" sermon series takes a look at some “big words” associated with Christianity. A proper understanding of these “big words” enables us to believe what is true and live out our faith.
What On Earth Am I Here For?
Do you want to discover your purpose in life? Our Spring 2021 sermon series took the church through the transformative book, The Purpose Driven Life, written by Pastor Rick Warren. Through videos, podcasts, sermon notes from our pastors and other resources, this series will help you answer life's biggest question — what on earth am I here for?
How to Live
In the church today, we are pretty good at telling people what they should do, but we are not nearly as proficient at telling them how they should do it. To correct that deficiency, this study of James will help us understand “how to live” so we can put our beliefs into action.
Essential
As a church, the combination of a hurricane (October 2018) and pandemic (spring 2020) stripped away much of what we held dear and previously considered indispensable parts of our fellowship. We learned to live without a church building, Sunday School classes, children and youth meetings, fellowship meals, and even in-person worship.
It led us to the question: What should we consider essential - as individual Christians, as a church family? Is there anything we can’t live without? What is absolutely critical to our existence as a body of believers?
This sermon series looks at various aspects of what is ESSENTIAL. Specifically, it explores what God and the people of God provide.
Becoming Great
Life for most of us is pretty good, would you agree? And while good is certainly all right, if given a choice, we’d all agree that great is better than good. Mediocrity is almost no one’s ambition.
But there is one area in life where that is not the case. Ask believers if they want to be great Christians and many seem reluctant to answer the question affirmatively. Most are afraid such an ambition would be presumptuous or seem arrogant.
Yet what is the alternative? Should we aspire to be average Christians? Is good enough really good enough when it comes to following Christ? Not according to Jesus. According to God the Son, just OK is not OK when it comes to living the Christian life.
