Plan Your VisitWe Are Looking Forward to Meeting You!
Why Visit Lynn Haven UMC?
Think about a time when someone showed an unexpected kindness to you. The co-worker who brought you a coffee. The stranger who fixed your flat tire. The neighbor who cut up the tree that was blocking your driveway after the storm.
As a church, one of our goals is to Bless People. We have a saying that goes, "It's a Blessing to be a Blessing." We hope we can be a blessing to you at a worship service or around town.
Because we love God, we love you, too.
Our Hospitality Promise
God's Word tells us how to treat others. It's just this simple:
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people.
Romans 12:9-10, 13-16b NLT
What can I expect?
SUNDAY MORNINGS AT LHUMC:
Our Sunday services are about one hour. Services begin with our worship team leading the church in music. We welcome you to engage in worship however you choose. Next, we'll share some brief church announcements and one of our pastors will share an encouraging, Biblically inspired message. About once per month we celebrate Holy Communion. If you choose to participate, you will take a small piece of cracker and sip of juice as a remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross.
Our culture is casual and relaxed. Come as you are and leave as a friend.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
Children's programs for infants through fifth grade are available every Sunday. Trained staff and servant leaders provide fun and interactive activities for the children so you can enjoy worship and our pastor's message, worry-free. Middle and High School students? We have a place for them, too! Let us know you're coming and one of our Youth Leaders will help them plug in with other youth.
Our Wednesday evening ministries include a Fellowship Supper, Bible Study and programs for children and youth. These ministries happen most Wednesdays but we encourage you to visit our Wednesday Night Ministries page to get more details about each specific activity so you can plan the best time to join us.
Let Us Know You're Coming!
We know meeting new people can be intimidating, and going to a church for the first time or the first time in a long time can be nerve-racking. Please let us know you're planning to visit, and we'll do everything we can to help make your visit a great one.
