Short-term relief trips to aid storm victims in the Southeast

Hurricane Sally Recovery Trip, Jan. 16-18


Servants ages 18 and up are needed January 16-18 to serve in areas of Pensacola and/or South Alabama impacted by Hurricane Sally.

When: Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend (Saturday, Jan. 16-Monday, Jan. 18).

Schedule: Meet at Lynn Haven UMC, 3203 Minnesota Ave, Panama City, FL., at 5:30 am on Jan. 16. Work Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Return on January 18 after working a full day.

What: There is still a great need for yard clean-up, roof tarping, mucking out houses, and possibly some repairs.  Servants need to be flexible and willing to do all types of jobs.

Cost: $30 to cover the cost of fuel and food for breakfast and lunch.  Please bring money for dinner each night.

Accommodations: TBD 

Food: Bring money for dinners. We will do a grab and go breakfast and we will pack a lunch to eat on work site. 

What to bring: Air mattress, Bible, toiletries, great attitude, and flexibility. As we get closer and find out our jobs, we will alert servants about what tools are useful to bring.
