Why We Give
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-9
One of the core values of our church is to Give Generously: practices of sharing and giving that exceed all expectations and extend to unexpected measures in service to God and neighbor. During this time of recovery for our community, we believe the mission of Lynn Haven UMC has never been more needed. We exist to share the good news of Jesus Christ, so that individuals, our community and the world can be changed. In addition to resuming our regular church programs, we as a church aim to help as many people as possible with various post-hurricane recovery needs. Over-and-beyond contributions designated for recovery efforts will serve specific, case-by-case needs as they arise. When giving, please designate as "Ministry Budget" (general operations/rebuilding) or "Hurricane Aid" (individual assistance).
