Something for the Whole Family
On Sunday mornings, children ages newborn through 5th grade learn about God and have fun together in our energetic, kid-friendly worship environment. On Sunday evenings, children ages PreK-3 through 5th grade are invited to take part in AWANA Club. AWANA – which stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” 2 Timothy 2:15 – is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him. AWANA leaders are specially trained to reach and disciple kids to impact their generation with the gospel.
Lynn Haven UMC’s Youth ministry is devoted to the spiritual growth of middle and high school students in their Christian faith. We offer a safe and positive atmosphere for students to grow in character by strengthening friendships, meeting new people, and serving God. Our mission is to lead every student to become a fully devoted follower of Christ.
Youth activities take place most Sunday and Wednesday evenings. Students can expect worship and Bible messages, small group time, amazing retreats, special events, service projects, food, and much more. Lynn Haven Youth has an outstanding, dedicated and passionate volunteer leadership team that devotes their time, energy, and heart to leading them to love God and love other people. We couldn't hope to serve these students without the college students and adults that God has called to serve in our ministry. On Sunday mornings, Youth are invited to participate in the main church service along with their Youth leaders.
Our adult members come together each Sunday for a casual, come-as-you-are worship service with an impactful sermon. Pastors Craig Carter, Terry Tatum and Chris Ackerman have an entertaining, all-ages preaching style.
A complimentary lunch is often served after the sermon allowing for additional time to connect and fellowship. Communion is served every week and all are invited to participate and celebrate what Christ did for us at the Cross.
Outside of Sunday mornings, Lynn Haven UMC offers Bible studies, small groups, a Senior adult fellowship and numerous service opportunities both locally and internationally.
Lynn Haven UMC members are active missionally. In 2018, teams from our church provided disaster relief to the local community as well as to hurricane survivors in Central Florida and Houston, Texas. Youth teams traveled to the Navajo reservation in New Mexico and the Girls Youth Ranch in Alabama to perform light construction and repairs. International teams shared the gospel in word and deed to Honduras, Mexico and Uganda. Locally, our members can be found ministering almost every day of the week at our partner schools, Southport Elementary and New Horizons Learning Center, and church services and other events. Whatever your interest, we have a need for your service!
Prayer changes everything. Take a step today and ask God to step into your situation. Submit a prayer request below and our Prayer Team will be notified and begin praying for you.
Give Prayer a Try:
Expect big things from God! Let's pray and see what happens.
No prayer is too big or too small. Struggling with finances? Health? Addiction? Family? Nothing is off limits.
God loves to reveal himself to us when we pray. Even if you aren’t sure what you believe, let’s pray and see what happens.
Worship with us!
Our Sunday gatherings casual and relaxed. Come as you are and leave as a friend. Services are about one hour, beginning with praise and worship and always ending in Communion. Children's programs for infants through fifth grade are available every Sunday.
