Frequently Asked Questions
Is there childcare?
Yes. Please make a note of your need when you register for class.
Do I have to share all of my financial details with other people?
No. You will be asked to evaluate your spending, prepare a budget, to make a debt reduction plan, etc. Your class coordinator is there to hold you accountable to actually making a plan and sticking to it, but at no point are you asked to share all of your personal financial details with anyone.
What does it cost to participate?
Because this is a church-wide campaign, we have been given an incredible opportunity to provide class materials at a significantly reduced rate. Adult kits (one per household) are $50. Alumni kits (new workbook) are $15. If you have taken FPU in the last 5 years and do not need a new workbook, there is no cost to participate. Alumni please use the paper registration forms (not the website).
When does it start?
Classes start the week of September 10, 2017 and meet weekly for ten weeks. Classes are typically 1.5-2 hours with video teaching and group discussion.
What if I miss class?
After you register you will receive a Financial Peace University kit that includes a login code for watching the teaching videos online and accessing all of the planning tools.
I’ve already completed FPU, what should I do?
Would you consider joining a class to encourage and assist others? Or serving as a class coordinator? Please contact us if you’d like to help in some way.
