WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF LYNN HAVEN?

Our mission is to lead every person to become a fully devoted follower of Christ.  This mission transcends buildings, pastors, and even generations.  John Wesley said, “You have nothing to do but save souls.”  This is, and always will be, the focus of our mission.  But from generation to generation methods change as the culture changes around us.  Our new Community Life Center will have wireless internet access, so anyone can sit in the coffee shop or in worship with a laptop and access our website or other online resources.  It is essential for an effective church to make use of current technologies and relevant cultural changes in order to reach every generation for Christ.

Health and recreational ministries provided through the Community Life Center will not only be good for our church, but they will provide an attractive means of reaching out to the community.  Unchurched children will be touched by the Christian messages of our basketball and soccer programs.  Adults will have a safe and comfortable place to come for walking and other exercise.  Every means of entry onto our church campus gives us another opening to reach people for Christ.

What does the future hold?  Incredible opportunities for impacting our community and the world!  Already four other churches in Bay County are being pastored by people from Lynn Haven.  Others are off in college and seminary, training for service in God’s kingdom.  Dozens of mission trips have distributed the influence of Lynn Haven across the gulf coast and to India, Africa, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico and other lands.  As fully devoted followers of Christ are dispersed throughout Bay County, the influence of this church is felt in schools, businesses, government, the military, and in other cultural circles.  Marriages and families are strengthened through our ministries.  Together we have the opportunity to make an indelible difference in this world for Christ!

"Let this be recorded for future generations, so that a people not yet born will praise the Lord."

-Psalm 102:18 NLT
